Jayne Bellwood
Hello and welcome to Tumble Bees, my name is Jayne Bellwood and I’m the founder of Tumble Bees Pre-School Gymnastics. I’m married with one son who is responsible for my decision to make a huge career change.
I worked in IT for many years travelling to different companies delivering training and implementing systems and sitting at a desk for hours on end.
Loving gymnastics as a child and seeing how much my young son was learning from attending classes, not to mention the fun he had I decided to train with British Gymnastics as a Pre-School Coach starting with Level 1 and later progressing to a Level 2 coaching qualification.
I started Tumble Bees classes in February 2013 delivering sessions at Bright Horizons Nursery at first direct bank and also classes for the public in both Churwell and Morley, Leeds. A few years later and I had my very own studio, The Hive at Woodkirk Valley Country Club.
I feel lucky to have had a great start to my gymnastics career as I had two fabulous mentors. My Level 1 mentor was Brenda Webster and my Level 2 was Jackie Tiffany, I feel I owe such much of my success to them both.
When I’m not coaching I can often be found camping in a field, walking, riding my bike or trying to stand up on my paddleboard, but basically and enjoying the great outdoors.
Chrissie Purnell
Hi, I’m Chrissie Purnell, I am married and a mum of one gorgous little 8 year old boy!
My first experience of Tumble Bees was back in 2016 when I brought my son Jack to classes with Jayne at The Hive in Tingley. Just before Jack started school in September 2018 I started my training with British Gymnastics and once qualifed I started coaching Baby and Tumble Bees class in 2019.
Prior to having my son I worked for many years as a Primary School Teacher, though I gave this up to be around for my son’s early years prior to school.
I enjoy spending time with my family, they mean the world to me.
